ZOMG WHAT DO I DO MY DEVICE WONT TURN ON/BOOTLOOPS

Calm Down

The first thing we need to do is relax, lets make sure its a real brick before we continue. Don't expect to keep your phones application data saved after this, this guide is dedicated to just getting your phone back.

Can you access recovery mode?

To access recovery mode, each device is a little different. Read your device page to figure out how to enter recovery for your device via button presses.

Below are the two options you can try to restore your phone in recovery mode.

Wipe Data

First thing you should do is Wipe Data/Factory reset. Try rebooting your device after and see if it turns on.

  • NOTE: THIS WILL REMOVE EVERY APP/PHONE CONTACT THAT YOU OWN. But hey, at least your phone might work right?

That fixed it

Good, see that wasn't so bad right? You do not have a brick.

That didn't fix it

Eh, ok, we have more options

Nandroid Backup/Rom Install

If you've hacked your phone and installed a custom recovery, you *should* have created a nandroid backup. If you can get to the recovery and restore this backup, your set.

If you DIDNT create a backup, go find a rom for your phone and inside of recovery enable usb storage and install the rom onto your device.

That fixed it

Good, see that wasn't so bad right? You do not have a brick.

That Didn't fix it

Well thats, odd....lets keep trying.

Can we access the bootloader?

Most devices have a backdoor recovery (not quite backdoor, its normally easy enough to find) that is used to install software to refurbish a device and also install software onto a device at the factory.

Below is a list of Devices, and their files that we have here at rootzwiki. Click on your device manufacture and we will assist you from there.

That fixed it

Good, Cause that was your last hope. You do not have a brick.

That didn't fix it

Looks like its time for a trip to the store for a replacement (hopefully). You have a brick.
