Windows Root/Unroot Methods

Universal Motorola One-Click Root for Android 2.3.4

• Before you begin, install Motorola drivers 32-bit 64-bit
• Download and unzip the One-click root program here
• On your phone, enable USB debugging (Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging)
• Plug your phone into your computer and choose "Charge Only" USB mode
• Run the Pete's Motorola Root Tools.exe that you unzipped
• Follow the instructions in the command window and you will be rooted.

Unroot Method

• Make sure the Motorola drivers are still installed.
• Make sure USB Debugging is still selected.
• Connect your Bionic to your computer.
• Run the Pete's Motorola Root Tools.exe
• Select UnRoot My Phone at the bottom.
• Your phone will reboot 3-4 times as the program goes through all 4 steps in the process.

Linux/OS X Root Methods

One-Click Root

• Download and unzip Droid Easy Root V7D.zip
• On your phone, enable USB Debugging: Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging
• Plug phone into computer and select "Charge Only" mode
• Open the file in the unzipped folder
• Follow the instructions in the command window and unlock the phone after each reboot.
